The 78th Golden Globes 2021 Winners And Why This Year Is Much Different
By PAGE Editor
This year's 78th Golden Globes took place amid a pandemic. We have spent a year in lockdown streaming most of these directorial projects, films, television shows, and other content. This year’s Golden Globe nominees dealt with the pressure of the COVID pandemic. Production still managed to deliver socially shifting and consciously awaking performances. Performers, actors, directors, and more make entertainment the common denominator of culture and progress.
An opportunity for actors and filmmakers to make a statement about the world they live in has always been a thing of televised award shows. As the cast and the crews chimed in over video chatting platforms, they took time to address some of the most pressing issues in today's society. It was a chance to be heard clearly as it always is. It was also a chance for those great talents to speak free o a script. And that has been most important in recent years.
