Saul Nash Explores Intimacy and Movement in SS26 Collection "EMBRACE"
By PAGE Editor
London-based designer Saul Nash returned to Milan to present EMBRACE, his Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which delves into the interplay of gesture, intimacy, and physical connection.
Blending sportswear, tailoring, and military influences with a sensual, hedonistic touch, Nash continues to refine his movement-driven design philosophy.
A Study of Sensuality Through Fabric and Form
Nash describes the collection as an exploration of movement through human interaction, juxtaposing hard and soft fabrics to mirror the language of touch.
Military-inspired flight jackets with kinetic cutting are paired with adjustable-waist trousers, while Bemberg™ cupro shirts and draped mesh jerseys soften traditionally masculine silhouettes.
A muted palette of greys, purples, and pale yellows reinforces the duality of strength and vulnerability.
The Many Meanings of EMBRACE
The collection’s title reflects both literal and metaphorical embraces.
Compression tops feature handprints stretched across the chest, evoking the sensation of being held, while laser-engraved denim twinsets depict intertwined bodies.
Nash also expands his tailoring offerings, introducing hybrid pieces like hooded Oxford shirts and detachable-sleeve suits in tropical wool—bridging athletic ease with formal refinement.
Playful Provocation and Functional Design
Transparent plaid boxers, mesh-lined ripstop trousers, and figure-hugging bamboo jerseys encourage wearers to embrace sensuality in everyday dressing.
Accessories include crinkled recycled nylon bags and Birkenstock footwear, while Cubitts eyewear completes the looks.
A Show of Shared Movement
The presentation unfolded in a red-curtained space where models waltzed in pairs, embodying the ambiguous yet liberating nature of shared motion.
This emphasis on connection underscores Nash’s vision of fashion as an emotional and kinetic experience.
Credits & Brand Legacy
Since launching his label in 2018, Nash has redefined technical menswear, earning accolades like the 2022 Woolmark Prize and Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
His work remains rooted in movement, challenging conventions of gender and sportswear with each collection.
The collection's key collaborators included Reuben Esser on styling, Birkenstock providing footwear, Gaika Tavares composing the music, and Troy Fearn handling casting. Through EMBRACE, Saul Nash reaffirms his ability to seamlessly merge functionality with poetic storytelling, further cementing his position as a visionary force in contemporary menswear.
