P.E. Nation x Rebecca Vallance: Womenswear And Collaboration
Written by PAGE Editor
2020 has seen a rise in the spirit of adaptation, it’s meant a shift in routine for many and provided businesses with ground to rethink future opportunities. For leading Australian brands P.E. Nation and Rebecca Vallance, who independently weave confidence and comfort throughout their individual aesthetics, 2020 has cleared the way for a refreshing take on a new category for each label.
With mutual respect and design adoration behind their intentions, this fashion industry alliance represents two brands sharing the space and accentuating their identities throughout the design and development process.
“We decided to create a new P.E. category and when we looked closely at who we were inspired by, we turned towards Rebecca Vallance. We love and respect the Rebecca Vallance brand, and we’ve worn her collections over the years, so it was great to lean on her suiting knowledge,”
explains P.E Nation Co-Founder and Creative Director, Claire Tregoning.
A mainstay of the modern woman’s wardrobe, the Rebecca Vallance signature combines structured design, flattering shapes and unique luxurious fabrications combined with a global aesthetic. While precision-cut tailoring and cool, feminine garments have adorned Vallance with a global following, as a mother of two, she also understands the need for relaxed wardrobe staples.
“Pip and Claire are such incredible style icons and when we wanted to direct the Rebecca Vallance brand into the casual arena, they were the obvious first choice with regard to who I was inspired by. Whether I’m at the gym or unwinding on the weekend I am constantly wearing their product; but not only that, I respect Pip and Claire as businesswomen and I have so much admiration for them as people,”
explains Rebecca Vallance.
