Sustainable Relationship Goals: How Stepping Up Your iPhone Photography Could Improve Your Love Life
Written and Photographed by Cassell Ferere
Lasting relationships start with a bond unique to those involved. There is usually an understanding between two parties that are in constant coordination. Their every move; style choice, diet, to benefit the bond and their place in society.
What makes a sustainable relationship – coexisting with another person – is the ability for each member to be ready and willing of the other. To have a sustainable relationship, goals have to be aligned, the effort has to be matched, and making room for one another is key. It’s not about codependency or independence when trying to have a sustainable relationship.
For a relationship to grow most parts of it would have to be in sync. And that means “redefining your [relationship] as a life partnership”, as Jada Pinkett-Smith said in her “Red Table-Talk” series to couples therapist Esther Perel.
In today’s age, simple things like taking a decent photo for Instagram purposes help you stay in the game (fellas). Partaking in some of the more considerable benign acts are helpful in maintaining a bond. And knowing your partner’s angles can boost your love for one another.
I know it may sound a like a bit much, but with all those Instagram accounts out there, the best pages have the best photos taken by the best Instagram “BF” and “GF” photographers. That’s why your frien’ travel pictures may be a little more dynamic than yours.
Don’t underestimate the power of kind acts as randomly photographing your significant-another in an unassuming fashion. But, the light was great and their expression memorable. Those make for some keen dating tactics and the picture – technically – lasts forever (don’t delete anything unless told to).
Next time you and your lover decide to go on a trip, make sure you both are settled on the idea that you may be walking into a photo-shoot around every monument and landmark. And that’s normal because it’s all about a cyclic relationship of giving as much as you take.
